About this session
It has been said many times before, that the pursuit of happiness for its own sake is a sure path to unhappiness. Luckily, with the emergence of the field of positive psychology and the prolific research carried out by its practitioners, we now know that happy people tend to practice a certain set of habits, ways of thinking and feeling and general attitudes towards life. In this class, we will uncover several of these and start learning in detail how to implement them (more) in our daily lives.
You will gain a greater understanding of:
1. Seeking out happiness works best when we search for and/or create micromoments of joy
2. Relationships are *the* most important factor for our sense of satisfaction and wellbeing – sadness isn’t necessarily the opposite of happiness, loneliness is
3. Happiness relies on our ability to be resilient, optimistic and less self-centered.
