She’s responsible for developing and executing overall VMware partner strategyand programs for VMware’s ecosystem of solution providers, distributors, OEMs,outsourcers, alliances, service providers and telecommunications partners.
Uma was previously Vice President of Channels and Sales, Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) forRiverbed, where she was responsible for defining the region’s go-to-market strategies andplayed an active role in shaping the company’s growth strategy in the region. She wasrecognized in May 2018 in CRN’s The Most Powerful Women of the Channel global list.Uma has 20+ years’ experience in business and strategic channels development in the APJregion.
Uma is also the Co-Founder at Lean In Singapore. LeanIn.Org COO Sheryl Sandberg to empower women to achieve their ambitions. Lean In Singapore, founded in 2016, is a community of over 3000 women & men that comes together to be inspired, empowered and educated with a focus on driving gender diversity in the workplace.
Uma has a Bachelor of Computer Science and Management Information Systems from the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur.
